In the Czech Republic, legalized marijuana, ecstasy, amphetamines, heroin and cocaine

From 1 January citizens of the Czech Republic allowed to carry up to 15 grams of marijuana, four ecstasy tablets, two grams of amphetamine, a half gram of heroin, one gram of cocaine.

WeedMaps makes Marijuana reviews big business

There are a lot of theories of why Californians rejected Prop 19 this week to legalize marijuana.  One reason is that proponents of Prop 19 didn’t spend enough money to support the measure.  Meg Whitman saturated every channel with $100 million in ads for her gubernatorial run while Prop 19 spent about $4 million to run its’ campaign and couldn’t compete.  Another problem was the turnout problem where exit polls show that young people generally support the proposition, but the rest of the country didn’t even bother to show up and help. Northern Cali said no to Prop 19

Deep in the Emerald Triangle, where everything magical is created, marijuana farmers have been making a decent living illegally off marijuana crops.  The medical marijuana boom in 1996 when Prop 215 was passed made these farmers even richer.  Is it a surprise they voted no?  When it came to Prop 19, they had to consider the law, which would tax and regulate this crop that makes them rich.  The growers of Humboldt, Mendocino, and Trinity counties decided that Prop 19 wasn’t right for them and all because they never had to pay taxes before for their crop.

Saratoga Springs Police seize 9lbs of Pot

A routine traffic stop in Saratoga Springs led to a seizure of nine pounds of marijuana from two North Country men on Broadway.

Police Officer, Justin Ahigian, pulled Christopher Redding, 28, of Messena and James Parrotte, 17, of Madrid, over at just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday for making an unsafe lane change.  When the officer approached the car, Ahigian said the occupants appeared to be acting nervous.  Redding, the driver, had a suspended license and was arrested.  When authorities searched the vehicle, they found nine pounds of marijuana.  The street value is estimated to be $27,000.

Underground Marijuana railroad

The entire state of California is having money problems so it is no surprise that San Diego is having the same troubles.  San Diego’s metro department is anticipating an $89 million budget deficit.  Although along the San Diego-Tijuana border, drug dealers appear to have had no trouble financing their own operational rail system, which carted marijuana along an 1,800-foot tunnel.

South Dakota loses on Medical Marijuana

Well this isn’t the first time medical marijuana has been on a ballot in South Dakota.  Yesterday medical marijuana was rejected once again in the state, which was an effort to allow patients suffering from debilitating medical condition legal access to marijuana.  The vote on the supporter side received about 48% of the vote and lost to those opposed to it, which received 65%.  The last time the vote went up in smoke like this for South Dakota was four years ago.
