PA woman hides Marijuana in diaper

Stefani Plume, Trooper for PA, stopped a western Pennsylvania woman who tried to hide marijuana in a child’s dirty diaper.  When she asked permission to search the woman’s car, the woman allegedly handed the diaper to the trooper and asked her to toss it into a bag of garbage inside the vehicle.

Maine growers from a group

Medical marijuana growers in the state of Maine are forming a trade group to help shape future policies and to protect their rights.  A formal announcement of the new group will be made at a news conference tomorrow in Augusta.  That came from a notice by e-mail from Jonathan Leavitt of the Medical Marijuana Caregivers of Maine.

UCF suspect agrees to 5yrs in prison

University of Central Florida student, David Cole, pleaded guilty in Sanford state circuit court to racketeering after a drug bust back in March.  The state dropped all but two counts in exchange for a five-year prison term to be followed by five years of prohibition.

Oakland the ground zero of Marijuana Legalization

In downtown Oakland you can see small coffee shops where people sit outside enjoy the sun and read the paper.  To the unsuspected eye these look like regular businesses, but they are really supporters of marijuana with signs, banners, and posters that say “control and tax cannabis.”

Another Texas Marijuana Seizure

A tanker trailer traveling in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley was found with 3 tons of marijuana by authorities from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement.  Ross Feinstein said, “special agents seized the marijuana Friday near Falfurrias, Texas.”

The packages were wrapped in clear cellophane and duct tape in about 500 bricks.  The street value of the marijuana was estimated at $5.3 million.  The 3 tons of marijuana equals out to be about 6,700 pounds.

Three Soldiers arrested for Pot Robbery

Out in Colorado Springs on Saturday three soldiers from Fort Carson were arrested for allegedly attempting to rob a medical marijuana dispensary.  The Rocky Road Remedies facility caught the three men on security cameras attempting to break into the facility.  They were wearing ski masks and carrying crowbars, but once they entered into the building the doors locked from the inside.

AZ is the 15th Medical Marijuana State

The approval came as a surprise to most people because at one point during Election Day the medical marijuana measure trailed about 7,200 votes.  The ballot measure won by just 4,341 votes out of more than 1.67 million ballots counted, which was announced on Saturday.
