Hemp seed Pill study

A recent study has found that the hemp seed pill (HSP) relieves a form of constipation known in traditional Chinese medicine as “excessive syndrome”.  This is when the bowels dry out and cause problems such as dry mouth, abdominal swelling and pain along with trouble sleeping.

Maine growers from a group

Medical marijuana growers in the state of Maine are forming a trade group to help shape future policies and to protect their rights.  A formal announcement of the new group will be made at a news conference tomorrow in Augusta.  That came from a notice by e-mail from Jonathan Leavitt of the Medical Marijuana Caregivers of Maine.

UCF suspect agrees to 5yrs in prison

University of Central Florida student, David Cole, pleaded guilty in Sanford state circuit court to racketeering after a drug bust back in March.  The state dropped all but two counts in exchange for a five-year prison term to be followed by five years of prohibition.

Oakland the ground zero of Marijuana Legalization

In downtown Oakland you can see small coffee shops where people sit outside enjoy the sun and read the paper.  To the unsuspected eye these look like regular businesses, but they are really supporters of marijuana with signs, banners, and posters that say “control and tax cannabis.”

AZ is the 15th Medical Marijuana State

The approval came as a surprise to most people because at one point during Election Day the medical marijuana measure trailed about 7,200 votes.  The ballot measure won by just 4,341 votes out of more than 1.67 million ballots counted, which was announced on Saturday.

Northern Cali said no to Prop 19

Deep in the Emerald Triangle, where everything magical is created, marijuana farmers have been making a decent living illegally off marijuana crops.  The medical marijuana boom in 1996 when Prop 215 was passed made these farmers even richer.  Is it a surprise they voted no?  When it came to Prop 19, they had to consider the law, which would tax and regulate this crop that makes them rich.  The growers of Humboldt, Mendocino, and Trinity counties decided that Prop 19 wasn’t right for them and all because they never had to pay taxes before for their crop.

Oregon gets defeated over Marijuana

South Dakota loses on Medical Marijuana

Well this isn’t the first time medical marijuana has been on a ballot in South Dakota.  Yesterday medical marijuana was rejected once again in the state, which was an effort to allow patients suffering from debilitating medical condition legal access to marijuana.  The vote on the supporter side received about 48% of the vote and lost to those opposed to it, which received 65%.  The last time the vote went up in smoke like this for South Dakota was four years ago.
