Out in Colorado Springs on Saturday three soldiers from Fort Carson were arrested for allegedly attempting to rob a medical marijuana dispensary. The Rocky Road Remedies facility caught the three men on security cameras attempting to break into the facility. They were wearing ski masks and carrying crowbars, but once they entered into the building the doors locked from the inside.
Authorities on mere coincidence had been next door on another call when the three men triggered the alarm and they found themselves trapped inside when all the doors locked from the inside.
Darius Thomas, 23, Cory Young, 22, and Ramone Holling, 22, were arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary. The three men are being held on $10,000 bail.
The facility owner, Renze Waddington, said, “All of the medication and the products, and the money is put in the safe every night. I respect people in the military, and I don’t really want to shine a bad light on the military. I think it’s isolated characters.”
This is simply another reason why marijuana should be legalized. Our own military even wants to rob the dispensaries like criminals and gangs due all the time. Lets stop prohibition and the criminal element that is un-necessary.
