Josh Gordon and Willie Jefferson were arrested in Waco several hours after their victory over Kansas. The Baylor receivers were discovered asleep in a Taco Bell drive-thru lane and were arrested on allegations of marijuana possession.
Police received the call at 2:15 a.m. Sunday about a man passed out in the drive-thru. Officers say Jefferson was the one driving, while Gordon was a passenger in the front seat. The police searched the vehicle, which lead to them finding small bags of marijuana.
Baylor coach, Art Briles didn’t return any phone calls or make any comments, but the school said the investigation is an ongoing matter. It’s a class B misdemeanor and no formal charges have been made.
If you’re going to get that high to the point you fall asleep in a drive-thru, don’t you think maybe you should order take out instead? Either way the situation happened and it is quite unclear at the moment if Gordon or Jefferson will play against Texas Tech at the Cotton Bowl, even though both practiced with the team.
