Father and Son busted for Marijuana

In Milton, Delaware a father and a son are in jail after police raided their home, which led to the seizure of 78 marijuana plants.  The authorities also found guns, prescription painkillers, and paraphernalia.

DE State Police said that during their investigation of suspected marijuana manufacturing off Round Pole Bridge Road in Milton, they located the 78 marijuana plants growing in a wooded plot adjacent to the property owned by Clifford W. David.  Police contacted Clifford along with his son, Clifford W. David Jr., about the grow operation adjacent to their property.  Police then said they linked Cliff Jr. to the marijuana plants, which led them to execute a warrant to search the David’s home.

David Sr. was charged with trafficking in marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, four counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, manufacture of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for keeping controlled substances, etc…  He is being held on $34,000 cash bond.  David Jr. was charged with most of the same crimes except the possession of the firearm and is being held on $16,500 secured bond.

A whole family is ruined for trying to make a living and stay a float in this economy.  It’s time we changed our laws so people can open legitimate businesses for products that consumers want.  Marijuana is popping up more and more in different states and people are not staying closed minded on the subject.
